On April 17, Nguyen reportedly agreed to be interviewed by postal inspectors. Saying he believed he was a “kleptomaniac,” he admitted to stealing packages beginning in February 2012. He reportedly started stealing a package “every now and then,” but that progressed to a daily occurrence.
Investigators reportedly received permission to search Nguyen’s vehicle, where they found five Red Wing Shoe boxes that allegedly had been stolen from the facility.
