IGH Police say Anderson and his alleged accomplice approached two teens on Apr. 16 while walking through a local park. The men asked the boy to use his mobile phone and rifled through his pockets until they found his wallet.

The criminal complaint says Anderson claims the unnamed accomplice showed a gun when the boy protested.

The men allegedly thanked the boy for his cooperation before returning his empty wallet and walking away with his iPod.

Dakota County District Court Judge Shawn Moynihan scheduled a settlement conference for Anderson for Oct. 17 and, if necessary, a jury trial for Nov. 5.

If convicted of the charge against him, Anderson could spend up to 20 years in prison and be forced to pay a $35,000 fine.
