Woman Sentenced to 60 Days in Jail for South St. Paul Nursing Home Heist

Lisa Marie Blair, 43, pleaded guilty in January to four counts of financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult.

A Dakota County judge on Friday sentenced a 43-year-old Circle Pines woman to 60 days in jail, five years probation, restitution and a $300 fine in connection with stealing money from two residents of a South St. Paul nursing home.

According to a statement from Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom, Lisa Marie Blair pleaded guilty to four counts of financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult in January after racking up almost $63,000 in fraudulent charges between March 2009 and November 2010.

The statement said most of the losses were in the form of checks which Blair wrote to herself from the victims’ checking accounts.
