The City of was reimbursed about $13,000 from the Dakota County Drug Task Force this year, Police Chief Larry Stanger told members of the city council on Jan. 23.

“Inver Grove Heights received $13,817.04 in reimbursement from the task force for costs that we incurred for vehicle and equipment costs, training and overtime for having a member on the Dakota County Drug Task Force,” he told the council.

Last year there was a fund surplus, due to many case closures and subsequent property forfeitures, which allowed all agencies to recoup some of the money spent as a member.
