Mayor George Tourville and two new City Council members will be sworn in during Monday’s Inver Grove Heights City Council meeting.
Tourville, who took his first oath of office as a council member in 1981, will be sworn in for another two-year mayoral term.
Taking their first oaths of elected office in the city will be Tom Bartholomew and Jim Mueller. Bartholomew is the former chair of the city’s planning commission, and Mueller formerly served on the planning and parks commissions. Their terms expire in 2016.
The trio won their seats on the council in the Nov. 6 general election. Tourville received 68.2 percent of the ballots cast as he defeated challenger Scott Cornelius, and Bartholomew and Mueller were the top two vote-getters in a four-person council race.
Other items on Monday’s meeting agenda include:
• Consideration of a resolution to allow Gertens Greenhouse to purchase 25,000 square feet of wetland bank credits.
• Consideration of typical start-of-the-year business, such as making committee appointments, designating an official newspaper and official depositories and naming a deputy weed inspector.
