Obermueller: Kline Continues to Dodge Debate

According to a statement from his campaign, Mike Obermueller has agreed to participate in debates and forums and welcomes any other invitations.

With just seven weeks to go until Election Day, U.S. Congressman John Kline has passed on three debates and has refused to accept any outstanding debate offers, according to a statement from the Mike Obermueller campaign.

“Voters deserve a clear view about the choice in this election,” said Obermueller, candidate for Congress in Minnesota Congressional District 2. “Congressman Kline needs to explain why he voted for the Ryan plan to end Medicare as we know it and why he would support more tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires."

Obermueller continued: "There is a clear choice in this election and we need to have an honest discussion about how we’re going to get families working again and get the country back on track. With Congress taking a two month vacation starting next week, it shouldn’t be difficult for Congressman Kline to find the time."
