U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) made a surprise appearance at Thursday night to support the campaign of Minnesota Rep. Joe Atkins (DFL-District 52B).

Minnesota Sen. Jim Metzen (DFL-District 52) also showed up to lend his support for the Atkins campaign.

"I know a lot of Americans are tired of all the fighting in Washington and know Minnesotans are tired of it too. That's why these two (Atkins & Metzen) are in office—to make sure we put an end to partisan politics," Klobuchar told the crowd.

Following Klobuchar's speech, Atkins took a moment to thank his supporters, campaign contributors and Sens. Klobuchar and Metzen.
