Robert Street Transitway Open Houses Planned in Dakota County

Dakota County will host two open houses to discuss Robert Street Transitway options. The project aims to improve public transit service between downtown St. Paul and northern Dakota County communities.

The following is a Dakota County press release.

Dakota County Transportation and the Ramsey County Regional Railroad Authority will host open houses about the ongoing Robert Street Transitway Alternatives Study at the following times and locations:

  • 4:30–6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the Dakota County Northern Service Center, Room 110, 1 Mendota Road W., West St. Paul. A presentation will begin at 5 p.m.
  • 6–8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at the Neighborhood House, Ferber Room, 179 Robie St. E., St. Paul. A presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Robert Street Transitway Alternatives Study aims to determine possible improvements to transit service between downtown St. Paul and communities in northern Dakota County. The Dakota County Regional Railroad Authority and the Ramsey County Regional Railroad Authority, which are jointly conducting the study, aim to identify a single transit route and mode for further development and implementation.

The public is invited to attend the open houses and offer opinions on the selection of initial alignment alternatives and their development. Staff will be on hand to answer questions.
