Brief: Girls Hockey Team Shuts Out North St. Paul

Spartan girls hockey beat North St. Paul 2-0 on Jan. 24.

Ashley Stewart's girls hockey team skated to a victory at a home game against North St. Paul on Jan. 24.

The team shut out the Polars 2-0. Spartans took a shot at the net 36 teams, scoring twice against the Polars.

Goalie Emma Tschida had 12 saves in the game. Stewart said Tschida has been the season’s "biggest surprise" as she has stepped up her game and had two shut outs this year.

"The first period was a good one, the second two weren’t our best we’ve played, but we’re getting better with each game," Stewart said.
