ISD 199’s Bruce Rimstad Named Top Business Official

Bruce Rimstad, business manager for Inver Grove Heights Community Schools, was named "Business Official of the Year" at yesterday's annual conference of the MN Association of School Business Officials (MASBO).

Rimstad has helped District 199 consistently achieve an Aa3 credit rating from Moody’s and earn numerous certificates of excellence in financial reporting, according to a statement following the event. 

"It is a very deserving honor and, on behalf of the entire district, I would like to thank Mr. Rimstad for his outstanding contribution to our organization and congratulate him on a job well done," Superintendent Dr. Deirdre Wells said.

Rimstad has been the district's business leader for 23 years and, according to the statement, his commitment to education and attention to detail have placed him among the top business professionals in Minnesota.

The statement added: "Rimstad’s peers describe him as hard working, determined, kind and witty. It is evident that Rimstad takes pride in his work as his keen leadership skills and thorough execution have managed to earn the district a certificate of excellence in financial reporting from the Association of School Business Officials International for seven straight years."
