BOYS BASKETBALL
The team lost a Classic Suburban Conference game 55-70 at home to St. Thomas Academy on Jan. 11.
Overall, the Spartan record is 4-8 and they will face Tartan High School on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
BOYS HOCKEY
Jim Joseph's team won both of the last two games: 4-3 over Sibley at home on Jan. 12 and 4-1 at Farmington on Jan. 14.

Over Sibley Brandon Reitberger had two goals and Ben Illestchko and Blake Stanton each had one. Reitberger had a hat trick (three goals) in the win over Farmington. Additionally, Blake Stanton scored the first goal of the game.
The team's overall record is 12-3 and the next game is on Thursday, Jan. 19 at Richfield.

GIRLS HOCKEY
With Jan. 13 win over Tartan the girls hockey team has a 10-6 record.
In the win over Tartan, Jessica Pate, Laken Muller and Lexi Muller each scored a goal.
Hill-Murray, Classic Suburban leader, is taveling to Inver Grove Heights tonight (Jan. 16.)
WRESTLING
In the Cheesehead Invitational Jan. 6-7 the Simley wrestlers places third among 24 teams. Two wrestlers brought home individual gold medals, 170 pound wrestler Micah Barnes and 145 pound Jake Short were the winners. Teammates Matt Kadrlik (285) , Nick Wanzek (152) each won second place in their respective weight divisions.
In a Jan. 12 triangular with South St. Paul and Tartan, Simley was victorious over both teams with final scores 58-9 over Tartan and 54-10 over South St. Paul.
The team won the Centennial Duals on Saturday. Participating teams included Centennial, Champlin Park, Roseville Area, Saint Francis, Wabasha-Kellogg.
Overall the team is 13-3. The next meet is on Thursday, Jan. 19 at St. Thomas High School.
