Board members Paul Mandell and Lynette Stensgard will be back on the ballot in November. Both are looking for a third term on the board.

UPDATE (Aug. 7, 11:45 a.m.): All three incumbent candidates have now filed for the three seats up for this year's school board election.
Chair Cindy Nordstrom saw IGH Patch's post and updated us in the comments area below this story.
The filing period closes early next week.

With one week down and one week remaining to file for the 2013 election, two current members of the Inver Grove Heights Board of Education have filed for re-election on Nov. 5, 2013.

Paul Mandell and Lynette Stensgard, both of whom were elected to the board back in 2005, have each filed paperwork with the Inver Grove School District (ISD 199) to be on the ballot in this year's election.

All filings are due by 4 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 12.

While those two incumbents have filed for the three open seats, one incumbent has not, so far. Chair Cindy Nordstrom had not, as of Sunday, filed with the school district. She was first elected in 2010.

Voters will also be asked to weigh in on a $31 million levy to extend a current levy and to bond for new facilities around the school district in November's election.

Inver Grove Heights Patch will have a complete coverage on both school board candidates and levy as we head into the fall.
