VIDEO: Inver Grove Students Excel at DI Regional

Five teams from Inver Grove Heights schools will take part in the state Destination ImagiNation Tournament.

Five teams of Inver Grove Heights students earned trips to the state Destination ImagiNation tournament by finishing first or second in last weekend’s DI east metro regional tournament at St. Paul Harding High School.

In all, eight Inver Grove teams placed in the top three in their respective divisions or received special recognition, says a press release from Inver Grove Heights Community Schools.

DI, according to the Destination ImagiNation-Minnesota website, is an afterschool activity “in which students work in teams to solve mind-bending challenges and present their solutions at tournaments. Teams are tested to think on their feet, work together, and devise original solutions that satisfy the requirements of the challenges.”
