Football Friday Preview: Simley vs. North St. Paul

Simley looks to notch another victory as they face North St. Paul on the road Friday

Simley (1-2 overall, 1-2 in the Classic Suburban Conference) vs. North St. Paul (0-3 overall, 0-3 in the Classic Suburban Conference)

PLAYMAKERS

- Jake Short (Simley— Running Back)
Had his best game of the season as he rushed for 108 yards on just seven carries and a score in win over Henry Sibley.
- Micah Barnes (Simley— Running back/linebacker)
Rushed for 89 yards in just eleven carries in their first win of the season last week. Leads the team with 27 tackles.  .
—  Ture Morck (North St. Paul – Kicker)
Showed off his leg with a 28-yard field goal last week.
-- Brady Soular (North St. Paul – Quarterback)
Scored on a five-yard touchdown run to give the Polars a 10-6 lead before Tartan scored a late touchdown.

SPARTANS WIN IF...
They can build on last week’s victory. They faced two of the state’s top team in the first two weeks and were shutout. Last week’s win should give their players some momentum for this contest. .

POLARS WIN IF...
They can continue to be more effective offensively. The Polars led Tartan 10-6 leading into the final quarter last weekend.
