ON THE LINE
The Spartans face a talented field in the Blaine Invitational Thursday. Margie Freed has shown that she is one of the state’s top runners and Simley's younger runners are hoping to show improvement as the season winds down. The Simley Invitational is next Tuesday with the Classic Suburban Conference Championships and Section 3AA Championships coming up later this month.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Margie Freed—Simley
The eighth grader finished sixth in the Mayo Invitational with a time of 15:27.76 (4K) and seventh in the Roy Griak Invitational (19:47 5K).

Aejah Lockett—Simley
The seventh grader finished 108th in the Mayo Invitational with a time of 18:33.28 and 268th in the Roy Griak Invitational (24:09).

Andrea Castillo—Simley
The senior was 121st in the Mayo Invitational with a time of 19:39.33 and 341st in the Roy Griak Invitational (25:49).
