Game of The Week: Simley Girls Soccer vs. Mahtomedi
Simley players will battle Class A runner-up Mahtomedi in a Classic Suburban Conference fight for first place in girl's soccer.

LAST MEETING: Mahtomedi defeated Simley 4-2 on the road and tied 1-1 at home last season.
ON THE LINE
The Spartans face defending Classic Suburban Conference champion Mahtomedi, who lost last year in the Class A state championship game to Rogers, their lone loss of the season. Simley is in second place and a win over the Zephyrs would be the Zephyrs' first conference loss since September 24, 2009. The contest will be held at the George Smith Field, which recently recieved a much-needed upgrade with new synthetic turf, a new track, new bleachers and concession stand.

Jill Richgels—Simley forward
The senior has scored eight goals in her first six games and was held scoreless in just one contest.
Mehan Bolton—Mahtomedi forward
The senior showed off her scoring ability by tallying three goals in the season opener this year versus Rochester Century.
SPARTANS WIN IF...
They can keep getting offensive contributions from seniors Jill Richgels and Sarah Luby who have combined for 13 of the team’s 28 goals and 47 of their 106 shots.
ZEPHYRS WIN IF...
They can keep pressure on the Spartan goalkeepers. They have scored 25 goals in seven games this season.
