Inver Grove Heights Man Finishes Twin Cities Marathon
The 2013 marathon took place in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Overall, 8,849 runners finished the 26.2 mile 2013 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Sunday, Oct. 6 – including one Inver Grove Heights man.
Inver Grove Heights resident Mike Griffith, 48, ran and finished the Twin Cities Marathon with a time of 4:56:40.
He placed 7,207 out of 8,849 runners and placed 472 in his age group.

Arizona resident Nick Arciniaga won the 2013 Twin Cities Marathon men’s race with a time of 2:13:11, according to a StarTribune.com report. Former Minnesota resident Annie Bersagel won the woman’s title with a time of 2:30:52.
The race began near Mall of America Field in Minneapolis and finished at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul.
