Game of The Week: Simley Volleyball vs. North St. Paul

Simley volleyball faces the top three returning Classic Suburban schools in their first three contests of the year.

TIME: 7 p.m. on Tuesday
LAST MEETING: North St. Paul defeated Simley 3-0 and 3-0 in their two meetings last season.

ON THE LINE
The Spartans start the season against North St. Paul, Tartan and Hill-Murray, who were the top three teams in the conference last year. They need to knock one of the top teams if they hope to move out of the middle of the pack.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Roda Mena—Simley High School middle hitter
Mena was named honorable mention All-Classic Suburban Conference last season as a sophomore. Only one other sophomore was given that honor last season.

Sophie Jaskulske—North St. Paul middle hitter
Jaskulske, who has committed to playing for the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, was third in the conference in kills and was an All-Conference selection last season.

SPARTANS WIN IF...
They can match the Polars' frontline, which lost two 6-foot tall or taller anchors this year.

POLARS WIN IF...
They can find strong replacements for the two front line, All-Conference players who graduated.
