PHOTOS: Simley Spikers Take Part In Six-Team Scrimmage

Just over a week away from the opening of the 2011 season, the Simley volleyball team took part in a six-team scrimmage at Lakeville South High School on Monday morning.
The Spartans joined the host Cougars, Faribault, Visitation, East Ridge and Bloomington Jefferson at the event, competing against four other teams in a series of 30-minute scrimmages before noon.
Simley, 13-15 in 2010, opens this autumn campaign at home against Classic Suburban Conference rival North St. Paul on Tuesday, Aug. 30. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
