ON THE LINE
The Spartans have been dominant through their first two games, winning by 30 and 56 points. They finished 18-9 last season, but were upset by Waseca at home in the playoffs 60-57 two weeks after beating them by ten. They finished fourth in the tough Classic Suburban Conference and return four of their top five scorers. The Spartans are hoping to keep their recent tradition of strong starts going. They won their first nine games of the season last year. Visitation was 11-14 last season and has three games this week, while Simley has just one contest, so the Spartans could take advantage of the Blazers’ tired legs.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Shauna Horsch—Simley guard
