Simley's Shauna Horsch Accepts Basketball Scholarship at Jamestown

Horsch, a guard on the Simley High School girls basketball team, was the team's third-leading scorer last year.

Shauna Horsch has collegiate basketball in her future.

Earlier this week, Horsch, a guard and leading point-scorer on the Spartans girls basketball team, accepted an athletic scholarship at Jamestown College in Jamestown, N.D. Jamestown College, a Division II school, is currently ranked 17th nationally and is 13-1 this season.

"Shauna is a very well rounded player that can do it all on the basketball floor," Coach Tim Peper said. "She has done anything and everything we have asked of her as a coach and has allowed us to have success over the last four years.

"Shauna has worked hard over the past four years to earn this opportunity to play basketball at the next level. She has been a great role model for our younger athletes over the last four years and we are excited to watch her continue to grow as a player in college, Peper said."
