Simley's Lange is 10th At State Diving Meet
Carter Lange finished Thursday's preliminary round with a score of 191.35 points; headed to finals on Saturday.
Simley High School junior Carter Lange competed in the Class A state boys diving preliminary meet at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center on Thursday, finishing the day tied 10th overall.
He and Fergus Falls sophomore Michael Aasness each finished the day with 191.35 points. They will compete Saturday in the state swimming and diving finals, which begin at noon.
Detroit Lakes senior Jon Melgaard is leading the 15-diver group heading into Saturday with 301.85 points. Hill-Murray’s Joe McGrath is second with 241.45 points, and Tony Kottke of Princeton is third at 225.35 points.
