Spartans Contend With Postponements
Several Inver Grove Heights teams forced to reschedule games due to weather.
In the midst of a very un-springlike week, several Simley sports teams have been forced to postpone games scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. Still, a few Spartans squads were able to squeeze their contests in despite the low temperatures and precipitation.
Postponed/Cancelled Contests: Tuesday and Wednesday
Postponed/cancelled varsity contests from Tuesday and Wednesday included: boys tennis vs. HIll-Murray (now May 10), girls, boys track and field (cancelled), softball vs. North (now April 21), boys lacrosse vs. Hill-Murray (now May 7).

Girls Golf: Simley Wins Conference Match
The Simley girls golf team claimed a Classic Suburban Conference meet victory with a team score of 188 at Oak Marsh Golf Course in Oakdale on Wednesday.

Individual results were not available; Richfield finished second at 189. The Spartans host a conference meet next Tuesday at Inverwood Golf Course.
Boys Tennis: Spartans Top Bloomington Kennedy
The Simley boys tennis team defeated visiting Bloomington Kennedy, 6-1, in a non-conference dual meet on Wednesday.
Individual statistics were not available. The match was the Spartans first after four-straight postponed events over the last week. Simley's next scheduled match is at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Henry Sibley.
