The last weekend of summer before school starts has mostly sun in the forecast, with a chance of thunderstorms Saturday in the Inver Grove Heights area, according to the National Weather Service.
Here is a quick look at what the forecast has in store for the community during the 2013 Labor Day weekend.
Saturday, Aug. 31
The high is forecast to reach 88 degrees, with a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 10 p.m. A low of around 66 degrees is expected Saturday night.
Sunday, Sept. 1
Mostly sunny, with a high forecast near 77 degrees. There's a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 a.m. Wind gusts could be 10 to 15 mph. Overnight low is forecast at 56 degrees.
Monday, Sept. 2
Sunny with a high near 74 degrees, winds 5 to 10 mph. An overnight low around 52 degrees.
For the first day of school on Tuesday, Sept. 3, students should expect a sunny day with a high around 80 degrees.
