Pub Crawl, Fundraiser to Fight Cancer and 'Biggest Loser' Contestant Speech

This week 'Three things to do in the Twin Cities area' includes a 'Biggest Loser' contestant and a big rummage sale.

The annual gathering of brew-and-brains-seeking walking corpses runs—or lumbers—from 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, to 2 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at various Minneapolis bars. Tickets are $35 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; they are $40 on Saturday. You also can buy a ticket to the Zombie 6.66K run. Check the website for participating bars and pubs, and where you can pick up your wristbands.

The “Biggest Loser” contestant and Hudson, WI, teacher will give a speech at Faith Community Church at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. The event is the first of a two-part series organized by the church’s women’s group, Ladies Achieving Togetherness Through Encouragement (LATTE). Doors open at 8 a.m. and the program should start at about 9 a.m. The church is located at 777 Carmichael Road, Hudson, WI.

Angel’s Attic will hold its annual sale of gently used items from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, through Wednesday, Oct. 16. The proceeds will benefit Angel Foundation, which helps adults with cancer and their families. The event is at Four Seasons Mall, 4108 Lancaster Lane North, Plymouth, MN.
