A man being sought by authorities in connection with a series of carjackings in Inver Grove Heights last month has been arrested. A nationwide warrant was issued Aug. 26 for Blake Syed Uddin, 30, whom police say successfully stole a victim’s car on Aug. 23 and attempted to steal three others. Uddin's spree allegedly began in a parking lot at Inver Hills Community College. Shortly after making off with one vehicle, police said Uddin caused an accident and then was hit by a van as he ran from the scene through traffic on Hwy. 52. A nationwide arrest warrant has been issued for an Inver Grove Heights man charged with four felonies in connection with a series of successful and attempted carjackings last week. Blake Syed Uddin, 30, is charged with three counts of attempted robbery and one count of theft from a person, each of which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
