Police: Inver Grove Heights Woman Checks into Hotel with Meth, Mushrooms and Prescription Drugs

An Inver Grove Heights woman scheduled to enter a treatment program next week was caught in possession of methamphetamine, Alprazolam and mushrooms, according to Eagan police. Jessica Lee Lehman, 28, faces two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance and one gross misdemeanor count of financial transaction card fraud. If convicted on either of the possession charges, Lehman could face a maximum of five years in prison and $10,000 in fines. At 11:26 a.m. on Dec. 28, Eagan police allegedly received a phone call from one of Lehman's family members, who told police the woman had just used a stolen credit card to purchase a hotel room in Eagan—and that she may be in possession of illegal drugs. Dakota County Creates 3 Rx Drug Drop-Off Locations

Locations in Burnsville, West St. Paul and Hastings will take prescription drugs for proper disposal.

Dakota County has established a permanent prescription drug drop-off program at three sites in the county. Drop-off is safe and anonymous. Correct disposal of medicines prevents misuse and abuse, while also preventing potential environmental impacts from flushing drugs down the toilet or sending them to a landfill. Residents can bring prescription or over-the-counter drugs, including pet medications, to drop boxes located at the following three locations: 100 Civic Center Parkway, Burnsville 1580 Hwy. 55, Hastings  (There's a drive-up location in front of the Law Enforcement Center) 1616 Humboldt Avenue, West St. Paul  Needles, sharps and fever thermometers are not accepted but can be disposed of at the Recycle Zone in Eagan.
