All Clear As Snow Starts Melting
Last night’s storm did what it promised, and dumped 3 inches of snow on the region. Still, nobody’s impressed.
Inver Grove Heights woke up 2-3 inches of wet, heavy snow this morning. It’s a pain to shovel, even if it’s only a little bit, but nothing major for Minnesota standards. According to Police Lt. Sean Folmar, Inver Grove Heights roads were “Pretty much clear” during this morning’s commute. As temperatures climbed back above freezing and salt did its work, there were no significant problems at the major roads around town, although Folmar did warn about icy spots at some intersections and side streets. No further problems are expected today, said Folmar. The same was true in the rest of the metro.
