Letter to the Editor: Tom Bartholomew is Committed to Controlling Spending Without Sacrificing Services

Former IGH mayor Vance Grannis, Jr. says Bartholomew has extensive knowledge of the issues facing the city.

Dear Editor:  Inver Grove Heights is fortunate to have four very good candidates for city council. However, only two of them will be elected on Nov. 6, 2012. It is great to have an election where you can vote “for” a candidate rather than for the “lesser of two evils” or against some other candidate. I urge voters to include Tom Bartholomew as one of your choices for city council. Over the years I have served on City Task Forces with Tom and have had an opportunity to observe first hand his leadership, professionalism and careful consideration of various city issues. Tom is committed to controlling spending without sacrificing funding for essential city services. Tom not only has proven experience in the private sector, but he also has …

Letter to the Editor: Tom Bartholomew for City Council

"(Tom's) willingness to serve, understanding of land issues and private sector experience will assist him in being a great City Council member for Inver Grove Heights," Schloesser writes

Dear Editor: I am writing in support of Tom Bartholomew for Inver Grove Heights City Council As the president of the Inver Grove Heights Lions Club I know first hand the determination and willingness to serve attitude Tom has for Inver Grove Heights.  Tom has devoted many hours to fund raising for the Lions Scholarships awarded to graduating Simley seniors presented by the IGH BEST Foundation. His hard work has allowed us to continue to award the two Lions scholarship each year.   I have observed his service on the Inver Grove Heights Planning Commission. Tom is always prepared for the meetings. In my opinion he deliberates with common sense and a full understanding of all the issues regarding applications in front of the commission.  Tom …
