POLL: City Council to Reconsider Gun Safety Program

According to the latest Inver Grove Heights City Council agenda, the council will reconsider denying the ordinance amendment to allow a DNR gun safety program with outdoor training. On Aug. 13, the council voted down the inclusion of a DNR-sponsored gun safety program in the Darvan Acres property owned by longtime IGH resident Vance Grannis, Jr. Because of the Aug. 13 vote, there was not a reason to consider the ordinance amendment.

Let's hope the city council makes the right decision and reverses this decision. Vicki, people die in plane crashes, should planes be banned? In fact, more people die in plane crashes per year than they do in gun safety class. Should we quit flying then?
