Weather Forecast: Snow, Rain Expected on Presidents Day

Increasing temperatures may bring slight snowfall and a chance of rain on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

The Presidents Day weather outlook includes warmer temperatures with a chance of rain and snow, according to the National Weather Service. Forecasters predict a slight chance of snow before noon on Monday, followed by snow and possible rain on Monday afternoon, with high temperatures in the low 30s. The snow could continue into Monday evening. Saturday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 20 degrees, and on Sunday the high may increase to 30 degrees, according to the weather service.

What's Open and What's Closed on Presidents Day 2013 in the Inver Grove Heights Area

Most retail establishments will be open Monday, but set aside your government business til Tuesday.

Presidents Day, celebrated the third Monday of February, has developed over time to honor both President George Washington (birthday Feb. 22) and Abraham Lincoln (birthday Feb. 16) in particular, and our country's presidents throughout history in general. Considered a traditional bank holiday, you will nevertheless find many banks and most retail open for business. What you should not count on being open includes any governmental business, including mail delivery, city offices and county services.
