When you simply must sing "Dancing Queen" or "Summer Nights" with your friends, where do you go in northern Dakota County? We want to know which karaoke spot is your favorite in town. Patch is relaunching its Readers’ Choice program and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to nominate the best spots in Eagan, Mendota Heights, Inver Grove Heights and the rest of northern Dakota County. Find out who won our Readers' Choice Poll.
The results of Patch's latest Readers' Choice poll are in, and Gerten's Farm Market has been voted the South Metro's Favorite Garden Center. Gerten's Farm Market was a dark horse in the contest. The business was added to the poll three days after it launched, but enjoyed a late voting surge, eventually overtaking neighboring superstore Gertens, an early favorite. In the end, Gerten's Farm Market took the title, with 50 percent of the vote. Gertens was the runner up, taking 24 percent of the vote. Katie Gerten, manager of Gerten's Farm Market, says that what sets her business apart from the competition is the friendly, one-on-one customer service.
